General Information
The Just a TAD Scholarship Fund was created to encourage and reward involvement, activism, and leadership in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community by members of the Baltimore/Washington, DC Metro Region. The $1000 scholarship helps fund the education of student leaders in the LGBT community. It was created to foster a more affirming atmosphere and encourage leadership. The scholarship is awarded each year to students seeking to continue their education at an undergraduate, vocational, or technical school. Selection is based on financial need and student involvement in activism and/or leadership roles.
Criteria:
Committed to equal rights and justice for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgender persons
A citizen of the United States
Accepted or registered at an accredited post-secondary educational facility for full-time or part-time attendance as defined by the institution
Cumulative high school/college/or technical school grade point average of 2.5 or higher. (Students applying with a GED certificate, please submit your most recent GPA and transcript)
Please do not submit an application if you do not meet the eligibility requirements. The fund does not offer scholarships for research projects, special projects, or for study outside of the United States.
